Grand Country Quilts

We are located on Grand Avenue in San Marcos (San Diego County) California off the San Marcos Blvd exit. Our friendly, knowledgeable staff and display of inspirational quilts motivate our customers.

The Grand Country Quilt Shop (formerly Grand Country Quilters) was established in 2011 by Loisann Terry and partners. In September of 2022 the store was purchased by Rachel Hill and Roxanne Thomsen continuing the great tradition and treasure this shop had become. The name was changed to Grand Country Quilts and the shop was updated to give it a fresh look and a fresh start!

Rachel Graves (Hill) earned her DVM from Colorado State University in 2008 and has a love and passion for animals big and small- as you can see here with her Great Danes. A passion for quilting was ignited many years ago and she is excited to partner with Roxanne at Grand Country to continue bringing fabric and friends together in San Marcos.

Roxanne Thomsen has built a successful medical device distributorship from the ground up, selling bone-healing products to Orthopedic surgeons for more than 20 years. Crafting has always been a part of her world, and quilting, the Queen among crafts! It's long been her dream to own a quilt shop and along with Rachel she is thrilled to be a part of Grand Country.

Together with their husbands Brian and Al, having the support of their parents, family, friends, employees and former customers alike- the two R's formed R2Q LLC and together they are so excited to share this adventure!
